About Me

A Little Bit About Me

When we found out we were pregnant my husband and I were living in South East Asia working in the development sector. I was working with street children. We moved back to Australia four months into the pregnancy and then decided to go travelling again through Mongolia and Eastern and Western Europe during the second trimester.

We did not do the conventional things while pregnant and now that we have this little baby in our lives we have not been raising her as the books and experts say. Instead we have been following instincts and listening to our own board of experts, our parents (who have each had five children) grandparents and friends. Using intuition more than what experts say we have decided to do things like sleep our baby on her tummy and feed her solids starting at 3 months.

This is a blog about my thoughts, experiences, trials and errors. At times it might be controversial, as most things about parenting tend to be, but I welcome your thoughts as well.
